Deltahub - Carpio, Ergonomic wrist rest, review

I have been using my computer at work 8 hours a day and 2~3 hours at home playing call of duty / PUBG.

Recently I felt something wrong with my wrist. And as time goes by this became serious problem.

Even at sleep, I could feel my wrist being very uncomfortable. I had to massage it while half sleeping. 

I found out that I am having Carpal tunnel syndrome. Which is sixth most frequent occupational disease in the world. 

 

I had a regular/normal wirst rest I have been using. But this was uncomfortable and not really working for me. So I had to do something. I found out there is a new ergonomic wrist rest made by Deltahub, called Carpio.

Review

First, unboxing. You can see that it has a silky small pouch (Top right pic) so you can put the product in and carry around. 

Not big of a deal but let you feel better with it.

I thought it would be much softer and maybe have a little cushion style like latex. But it is just a plastic where your hand touches. But not like a hard plastic. Like smooth touch processed plastic. 

 

 

Top left picture is without wrist rest.

Bottom pictures are with wrist rest. If you see the picture, it works fine like other wrist rest. 

And Ergonomic design makes your hand very comfortable.

Here is a GIF file. Bottom of the product is also plastic (hard plastic). So you can move freely on your mouse pad or without your mouse pad.

 

There are two types of people depending on how they use their mouse. 

1. Not moving the whole arm. Using only wrist to move mouse.

2. Moving whole arm to move the mouse. 

 

Type 1 has more risk of getting wrist injuries. And I'm type 1.

With this wirst rest, you are half forced to use the whole arm. It moves freely with the mouse.

But.!! when I'm plaing call of duty, my aim skill became pool. I will probably have to get use to using wrist rest, to avoid wrist injuries. 

 

 

Pros

 - Its Ergonomic design make your palm comfortable than any other wrist rest.

 - It moves freely on mousepad, or off mousepad.

Cons

 - High price compare to other wrist rest.

 - Long shipping period. (Let me elaborate this separately below)

 

I live in South Korea.

I ordered this online March 9th and it took a month to receive this package.

I don't know if I'm the unlucky one or Slovenia post office work like this usually. 

If you see below package tracking, IT LITERALLY TOOK 3 WEEKS TO GET TO KOREA from Slovenia post office.

This is not because of Corona issue. 

Neither Slovenia nor South Korea has delivery issue affected by Corona Virus.

And it was even ordered before Corona breakout in Europe.

I sent few e-mails to Deltahub. Their reponse was fast. But coudln't really help anything. 

I just had to wait.

 

To sum up

If you are using computer a lot. 

If you are willing to pay for your wirst safety.

I recommend this product.
